TamJai SamGor @ Parkway Parade

We (younger sis and I) finally tried TamJai SamGor @ Parkway Parade today. It had set up shop at Parkway Food Republic Foodcourt for a while, but we weren't motivated enough to try before as the ordering seemed complicated until now.

In the end, it was quite easy to order and pay up online using the QR code pasted on the table. Just that there are choices to be made, and sometimes you just don't really want to have to make so many decisions just for lunch. Anyway, we got through it and ordered the Ma La Soup Combo ($9.90) and San Suan Soup Combo ($8.90). As the combo sets came with a choice of drinks, we each got an Iced Milk Tea.

Both soup broths were tasty. As we had chosen a low level of spiciness, it was pretty mild. For ingredients we could choose, we go the cuttlefish balls, pork slices, enoki mushroom, and chinese cabbage. No complaints there. The cuttlefish balls were bouncy.

Overall, I give this 3.5 Aunty Karens. It was a nice soupy noodle meal. The problem was with the service which was non-existent. The tables were also dirty. Not sure if this is a Food Republic problem. This is a problem I noticed when we visited Feng Xiang Bak Kut Teh. I wonder if perhaps the cleaners are not cleaning these speciality eateries within the foodcourt as frequently as they are the other tables?

3.5 out of 5 stars on the Aunty Karen scale
